When I started blogging, my goal was one post a week for one year – 52 blog posts. At the time, that sounded like a lot! Fifty-two essays…how would I find that many things to write about? What if I came up empty…lost my source of inspiration?

Needless to say, that didn’t happen. I quickly found that the Universe provides an endless supply of inspiration to all of us. We just have to allow it…honor it…

As I approach this one-year anniversary, I am filled with awe! My life has changed in so many ways over the past year; I am not the same person I was when I started on this journey. Writing helps to quench the deep desire of my soul, and from that perspective, it is a selfish endeavor. It’s an invisible force that propels me along my soul’s path, fulfilling my life’s purpose. And, as I surrendered to that calling, my world opened up in big and beautiful ways!

If I had a larger goal in mind when I embarked on this endeavor, it was simply this: to write from the heart, as authentically as possible, in the hopes that it would encourage others to do the same – to step out of their comfort zone and live their Truth! It’s been incredibly gratifying to learn that, yes, many of my readers have resonated with my work and have taken the time to let me know that. I think I speak for most writers when I say that, even though we write for ourselves, it’s icing on the cake to hear that your words have been meaningful to others.

Well, as I mentioned, this past year was a whirlwind of activity for Bill and me. And, 2018 is bringing even more new and exciting possibilities, at an ever-increasing pace!

For example, our Reiki For Vets program has blossomed in ways we never imagined! Reiki practitioners from all across the US have contacted us, looking for ways to serve the veterans in their area. In fact, I believe we are on the verge of a tipping point (a la Malcolm Gladwell) in legitimizing Reiki – and other holistic modalities – in the eyes of the Veteran’s Administration (and the world, really). To date, Bill and I have communicated with Reiki practitioners in California, Tennessee, Ohio, Kansas, Connecticut, and Maine, and just last month, RFV expanded into the Savannah, Georgia VA!

Bill and I recently earned our Reiki Master/Teacher certifications, enabling us to teach Reiki to the veterans we work with, providing them with the ability to self-treat – a gift that keeps on giving! What’s more, through the generosity of folks who donate to RFV, we are able to offer scholarships that cover the entire cost of their level 1 training!

In an earlier blog, I explained that Bill knew that I was the one he was supposed to marry. Not only that, he insisted that we were destined to work together in some capacity. Although it took a quarter century to figure out what that “work” looked like, it all started with RFV. It has since evolved into an intuitive counseling and healing practice. In addition to our volunteer activities, Bill and I work with clients in person or by phone, helping them overcome obstacles – physical, emotional, or spiritual – so that they can live their best lives and fulfill their soul’s purpose.

Last but not least, my book proposal is still being submitted to publishers, and I’ve even received a couple of “bites,” letting me know that I am on the right track. I truly believe folks are eager to live lives of purpose and passion (to borrow a line from my friend and mentor, Debra Moffitt), and my book is written with that goal in mind.

With all of that being said, I’m feeling called to put my blog on the back burner while I turn up the heat on my book project and our healing practice. Does this mean you won’t see any more blog posts? No! It just means they won’t be as frequent as once a week. I’ll still have plenty to say…I can’t help myself! I just need to shift my focus for a while to prevent overwhelment (as Abraham-Hicks calls it).

In the meantime, feel free to revisit some of my older blogs – the messages have no expiration date! And, if you leave your email, you’ll be sure not to miss upcoming posts.

Now, go forth fearlessly and fulfill your Life’s Purpose!
